Ok ladies, I had my heart set on a red and white wedding, now I have been looking through many bios and I see how common the color is. Now I see the color rasberry by Jim Helm and now thinking about switching. What is a girl to do?

keep an open mind. you still have just under 2 yrs before your wedding. I said it wouldn't happen to me, but my tastes changed everytime I saw something else I liked.
you don't need to shop for BM dresses for a long time. so have fun leafing through all the bride's magazines for now
when you see it, you'll know

Look at what you like start a binder, collect everything you may want to do, then 6-9months before select a color and go from there

Oh my God, you have so much time!! Raspberry sounds sooo pretty though! Check out Jim Hjelm too, and look at his mango! Absolutely gorgeous!! I might pick that. But you should definitly do what you like, don't worry about the other weddings. If you like red, then find a way to represent the color throughout your wedding in a different way then everyone else. ie- favors/centerpieces/linens, etc.

Many colors reappear everywhere, and that's b/c there are so many colors you can work with. That being said, your wedding will stand out and be unique no matter what color you choose.
I say stick with what you like! Don't let outside influences affect you.
p.s. I've seen raspberry everywhere with green! So it's not that much of a change.
p.p.s. I think red and white is more masculine than pink...but that's just my opinion.

i am in the same situation, but with different colors. i wanted sage green BM dresses from the week after i got engaged last december. i thought it was unique. then i started looking through mags and that color is incredibly popular. i've since decided that i'm still doing it as long as the dress i pick comes in a shade i like.
