Need Advice Please...

Okay, so I found a place that will do a grooms cake for me around $200. Only problem is that they charge a $100 delivery charge!!! The place is in Suffolk and my wedding is in Nassau. Do you think I should suck it up and make it a suprise for FH and pay the fee. OR try to go the day b4 and then go to my RH to drop it off (a day b4 the wedding). I just dont want to be running around getting a cake the day b4 the wedding... but $100 is A LOT of money just for a delivery. Ahhhh what do I do ladies??

Yea, I am really thinking about it LOL!!! I feel like its a lot to ask a family member to do it ... so whats why Im thinking of doing it myself the day b4 OR just shelling out the $100 so I dont have to worry about it. Tough decision....

i would see what your MOH is up to the day before or a family member - how far is your RH that you need to have it driven out to? Nancy is a doll at Audrey's isnt she?

i say you got a good deal on the cake id just pay the fee. you dont want to be running stressed all around long island the day before your wedding

Yea Im going to call my sister and see if she can do it the day before.... if not, I think Im just going to suck it up and have it delivered. I told FH that I was whipping up a suprise for him at the RH and he goes 'Your taking a stripper pole class?' LOL!!!!!! But, he got excited about a suprise being set up for him.... I really want to see the look on his face when he sees the cake!
Nancy is really sweet!!!! She has already gone back and forth with me in emails like 4 times today lol!!!

tell her exactly what you want - she is amazing - audreys bakery is phenomenal.. did you tell her you got her info from me? - i email with her weekly - going to see her thursday to finalize our wedding cake

Oh yayyyyyyy!! I am sooooooo excited!!!! I was going to tell her I saw a Wii cake she made for you, but then erased the sentence bc I didnt know if you wanted me to tell her LOL!!! Im waiting for her to respond and I'll write back later and tell her now that I know its okay lol
I have to go out there sometime to check out the bakery and sit down with her and look at the xbox 360 cake. OMG I cant wait!!!!!!!

Oops I think I misunderstood.... she just wrote an email saying that it's just $215 for the xbox. Hmmmm I wonder how much more it would be with the fillings and whatnot......

there are alot of fillings that are included - the canoli filling was included
