Okay, so I found a place that will do a grooms cake for me around $200. Only problem is that they charge a $100 delivery charge!!! The place is in Suffolk and my wedding is in Nassau. Do you think I should suck it up and make it a suprise for FH and pay the fee. OR try to go the day b4 and then go to my RH to drop it off (a day b4 the wedding). I just dont want to be running around getting a cake the day b4 the wedding... but $100 is A LOT of money just for a delivery. Ahhhh what do I do ladies??

Ladies, can you believe that I just asked my MOH and one of my bridesmaids and I got this reaction....' UMMMMMMMMMMM..... how far is it??' You could tell that they didnt want to do it... my sister said she would- but to try to find something a bit closer and if not, of course she would do it for me. I think I might just pay the $100 because Im already seeing that this is going to become an issue. It's a 40 minute drive from my house to get there.... then they'd have to drive to RH and back home. Maybe I should just shell it out ..... ughhh

I wouldn't pay the extra $100..................that's alot of money. Your sister said she would do it? then have her do it. You would do it for her right?? sometimes you gotta be a little bridezilla if needed. you're going to have enough to do the day before girl!

My sister said she would do it.... but it really sounded like she didnt want to.... I can already hear he complaining about it LOL!!! Yeaaaaaa I am going to be having my day of beauty the day before.... I cant have this stressing me out $100 def. is a lot of money.... esp since we are barely getting by to pay for the wedding... but is it worth the added stress? Hmmmmmm

i wouldn't even stress over it honestly. I would have someone else do it, even if they really don't want to. they will get over it :) BELIEVE ME! Is she married yet? because I'm sure if she's not, one day you will return the favor!

Yea I hope so lol And you know what? Im the type of person that would go Above and Beyond for everyone.... I wouldnt even complain if it was my sisters wedding and I had to do it for her....

well then, don't worry about this, and have her do it! period!! and then don't think about it anymore (because i'm sure you have many more things to worry about lol!) and relax the day before, like you are supposed to! We have bridesmaids not just because they are our wonderful friends and family, but also to help us! not to say that we overburden them with every little stinkin thing, but when we need them, we need them!

Very true!!! BM's are supposed to HELP YOU!!! Hopefully she'll suck it up and do it!! I really want that cake for my FH!
