i am so upset right now. my neighbors are all coming to my wedding which is in 11 days, and guess what, my mom goes and starts a fight with one of my neighbors the other day, and i think she was wrong to say anything b/c the woman didnt do anything to her, and also the wedding is in less than 2 weeks before my wedding, how selfish. my neighbor just came over to me and said that her, her husband, and son are not coming. they will attend the chuch, but not the wedding. i am so upset and angry with my mom right now. im disappointed in my neighbor b/c my dad still went over there house last night to hang out even after everything, and now im the one getting scr***d. sorry for long vent i just dont know what to do.
UPDATE: my mom really surprised me. she went over there and talked to her and things seem good again. i cant take this anymore. thanks girls for all of your help.

oh no!! my mom turned into a momzilla when i graduated from college... i told her i wasnt inviting her to my wedding!!! So years later when we got engaged i reminded her of our incident and she kept it in mind and remanded pretty calm... it also helped that she lived in a different state...
has your mom admited that she was wrong?? can you maybe have your dad apologize on her behalf if she refuses to do it?

I agree that your mom should apologize. However, I also think the neighbor should put her own feelings aside and realize it's not all about her. They were invited to YOUR wedding; not a party for your mom. Put her feelings aside, celebrate the day and THEN she can deal with whatever ill feelings she has towards your mom.

Definetly ask your mom to apologize-even if she is right. This is your day and whoever you want there should be there.-Especially when they want to be there.

I know what you're gong through. My mother did the same thing at the 6 month mark with my AUNT!! My mother refuses to apologize because she doesn't think she did anything wrong! I've read the email that started the whole thing - and trust me, my mother should apologize. Neither party is budging thus far. MY aunt won't come and my mother won't apologize.
I hope your mom's trip to the neighbor's house resolves the situation.
