Need advice re: inviting people from work to my shower?

Ok - so I am sucking it up and inviting the 6 women that I work with to my wedding - since I don't want to have any awkward issues should I decide to stay here for a while after the wedding.

NOW - my question is this - my sister (my MOH) asked me for a guest list for my shower. I only included one person from work (since I'm the closest with her) and know that she wouldn't say anything to the others. My sister is having my shower at a place and wants to keep it small. Since my list was too large to begin with - i told her not to worry about the 5 other women I work with.

Is this rude? I have a feeling they will do a small 'work' shower for me here anyway. I dont know - I'm so confused. I hate this!

I think inviting the one person from work is fine.

Not at all and also you can put it on who is throwing the shower that they made the list that way no one is hurt!! They will understand.

It's not rude at all to not invite them.

Ahhh, you girls are great!! Thank you, i feel so much better now!

You just never know if you are going to offend people and i'm totally one of those brides who is WAY TOO concerned with how other people will feel, if i'll hurt someone's feelings, etc. etc. etc.!!!

I need to get over stupid things like this and plan my wedding without worrying about this nonsense!!
