Need advice re: sleeves....

I have a strapless dress and I would like to have sleeves made for my dress...Someone mentioned that I should call up the salon and ask for a sleeve kit?? when should I do that?

What does this 'sleeve kit' include?

In any scenario, you should do this asap, especially since you have your dress already.

well I ordered my dress already but it doesn;t come in until January..

a sleeve kit, from what I'm told, is extra fabric of the very same that your dress is made that they can use to make the sleeves from..

OK, yes then. The word 'kit' kind of threw me off.

Who's doing the sleeves for you? Did you check w/the salon seamstress or find another reputable one yet? You have to make sure they've done this before and are good at it.

You should order the material from the same designer as your dress.
If you are absolutely sure you want the sleeves, I say order the material immediately so it can be here w/your dress.
Since your dress doens't come until January, the salon could probably add it on to your existing order so they come at the same time as just 1 order.
