Need advice --- Sorry so long ...

Need advice --- Sorry so long ...

So, I had a great time at my shower however there were some disappointments.

My cousin was supposed to be a bridesmaid. Her, my aunt (her mother) and I were all VERY close. I even lived with them at one point. My aunt was always like a second mother to me. I was my cousins MOH at her wedding, I did EVERYTHING for her.

After six months of me begging her to ger her measurements she ended up backing out of being a BM. Telling me that I was being unreasonable for asking them to get them in so early. Fukcing bithc. I tried numerous times to resolve it to no avail ..

Anyway, it led to a huge blowout fight with my cousin and now shes not even invited to the wedding. I will NEVER speak to her again, she can **** a gun.

BUT my shower was Saturday and my aunt never showed. I found out later from my sister that my cousin told my aunt if you go to Carey's shower I'll never talk to you again.

Now, my question is .. I dont want to invite her either now. Thoughts?

WOW, some people act so childish, i cant even fathom it. my guess is that the reason she told you for backing out was prob not the real reason, isk could be wrong, but that sounds so ridiculous to back out of someones bp cuz you think theyre odering dresses early?

your aunt still shoulda came rather than listening to her bratty daughter whos stomping around till she gets her way.

if it were me, i would still invite them, be the bigger person, may she'll get over this by then and realize how dumb shes being. for me, i hate perpetuating family tiffs.

I agree with Joanna. Be the bigger person and if she still wants to be like that then it's no one else's problem but her own.

I totally agree with both of them. That totally ***** that your family is doing this. Sometimes people can be so childish.

That's so petty of your cousin!! She's being really unreasonable, I can't believe it.

I'd say you should definitely still invite your aunt. The bickering was very fresh at the moment and she didn't go to the shower out of respect for her daughter and how upset she was.

By the time the wedding rolls around, everyone's feelings will be a little dulled and your aunt MAY come out of respect for YOU (rather than her crazy daughter). When people have time to think about things, their opinions change and you might win her over in the end.

I say invite her.

why bother sending her an invite
if she pulled this shitt for your shower she will probably do it for your wedding.

save your money. dont send it

I feel the same/ I'm going through a similar situation and I believe there comes a point where you dont have to be the bigger person anymore. People cant just walk all over you, but expect to be respected

Wow, seriously!? She needs to grow the eff up! Buying your BM gown now for a Sept wedding is not early! What a cop out! Ahhhhhhhhh! Then, to put your aunt in such a weird position knowing how close you two are!? Beotch move..for serious. Could she be jealous of your relationship with her mom?

That said....I would still invite them both. Its not your aunts fault her daughter su.cks. I'd also invite her to show her that you are the bigger person and that she is an a$$hat!

i have a huge issue with my cousin right now too..i sent her the invite that was a waste of postage, and after my wedding i won't ever speak to her again

i tried for years, and was the bigger person
she displayed behavior that's stupid and ridiculous, so i'm sorry, but i'm done
