need advice. std dilemma. a little long and slightly nwr. please advise.

I have my std's stamped and ready to go. I am so anxious to mail them out, I really don't want to wait any more!! Here's my problem..

As some of you know, I own a small retail store. Fh helps me run the store, and I currently have 2 employees. One has been here for a while, he's great, and definitely invited to the wedding. I am sure that he will still be working here in 6 months. The other employee has only been here for a month and is part time. As soon as we hired her I put her on the guest list, whoever is working here will be at the wedding of course. The problem is that she *****, she is lazy, and just totally not working out. I am 95% positive that I am going to be firing her within the next 2 weeks. I promised fh i'd give her a chance, blah blah blah.

So, do i send her a save the date or not? If I don't send her one, it will be pretty obvious because everyone is going to be coming into the store saying that they got them, plus she is friends with my other employee. I don't think she would say anything about it, but it would be awkward. If I send her an std and then fire her it would be obvious that she wasn't going to get an invitation-but I'd be sending her an std knowing that she wasn't invited, it seems weird. I really don't want to wait 2 weeks to send these out, I'm just totally stumped.

What do you think??

if you're going to be firing her then dont send her an std.... if she asks why in the meantime when she hears others talk about it, just say you are keeping your wedding small

i think she thinks she's invited. but yeah, do i really care what she thinks?

Don't send her one. If she asks (whch she probably won't have the nerve) just tell her that you ordered a certain number and didn't have enough for everyone so you didn't send them to your employees and ask the other girl not to tell her she got one.

we sell t-shirts, posters, candles, incense, pipes, music. like a hippie shop, grateful dead shop. and yeah, i guess it makes sense not to send her one, i just don't want to be rude.

i think it would be more rude to send her one and then not invite her....imho

I would not send a STD and maybe fire her before you send them. 2 weeks is not really a long time (even though it seems that way!)

anyone who gets a save the date expects an invitation. Otherwise its like you uninvited them.

i wouldnt give either employee an invite.. STD are meant to inform people of your upcoming wedding so they can mark their calendars.. if they good employee sees youall the time, im sure he is aware when the wedding is..

no STDs for your employees.. safe bet.

You will never see her again after you fire her, possibly, and she $ucks anyway.

Don't send her one, if she has the balls to ask why then just tell her that you are keeping the wedding small..

I wouldn't send her the STD.

You could always mail all the others and just hold on to your store's STDs until she's gone. that way you get the satisfaction of mailing most of them out

i agree with the other girls, if you have intentions on firing her, i would not send her a std

I agree too...I would send out your STDs to everyone except your employees. After you fire her, then send them to your other employee. Or don't send them to your employees at all (unlesss you told them you will be going to).
