to be honest im not a fan of the jenny craig or nutra system type programs simply because they dont help you learn how to eat right. They do all the work for you. That being said, I have heard much better things about the food on Jenny than on Nutra System..I have coworkers on both programs and the jenny people LOVE it while the nutra system people HATE it.

I can't really judge because I have not been on it but my godmother was on nutrisystem and it looked gross.. She would eat like powdered eggs for breakfast and eventually she wound up giving all of the food away..

OMg I bought Nutrisystem once with FH and we both threw it all out in the garbage. It was about $200 each and it was SO GROSS. Dont waste your money!!! Maybe Jenny Craig would be better.... Im not sure- personally I've never tried hers.

i totally agree. they don't teach anything. but at this point i need something with quick results. I know i will be a ww'er all of my life. this would be temporary. the food on jenny craig is awesome!!!

Then why not model your own diet after the foods you enjoyed on Jenny Craig? Try to make some of the recipes...measure and weigh your foods and you would be good to go!

Re: need advice... weight
honestly - no or low carbs always works and working out - cardio like the elliptical and lifting weights burns a lot of calories the only way i loose weight is by working out everyday for an hour but everyone is different

Re: need advice... weight
FH has lost 8 lbs in 1.5 weeks on Nutrasystem. Granted, he is a bigger guy, but he's lost THAT MUCH on one diet.

Re: need advice... weight
My Aunt did Nutrisystem and she hated teh food but stuck with it and lost weight. They only problem was that as soon as she was off nutrisystem she gained the weight back....I heard the same thing with Jenny Craig
I would stay with WW, its what your body is used to

If your happy with WW than stay with it. I personally like Jenny and still do it. They do have some new programs which aren't as expensive. they always have a short term, inexpensive special running. right now it;s 20 pounds for $20. the program lasts 10 weeks and you justt pay for your food each week. that can add up sometimes. But stick to what works best for you.

Re: need advice... weight
I tend to be diet resistant, because I'm diabetic, but, when I stick to 1200 calories per day, I lose weight!!! And just plain walking and drinking water, speeds it up. My SIL, Fred, told me that eating 5 small meals a day, speeds up metabolism, but I haven't tried it. Mary MOB
