Need advice...sorry its long

My ceremony will be at the reception hall. I want to get ready at a hotel somewhere near my reception hall but I have no idea what is near it (which is my first question) The reception is at the Meadow Club in Port Jefferson Station. Also...I don't think that I want to get limos because I am getting married at the reception hall and this could be an area where I can make a cutback. What do you girls think of that? No limos... is that cheesy?

Is there ahotel near The Meadow Club in Port Jefferson Station? I know about Danfords but I probably won't be blocking rooms there since it will be a little expensive for our guests and I want to be at the same hotel as the guests.

It not super close, but there is a holiday inn express on rt 347 in Stony Brook that is not that far from the Meadow Club.

I am also not getting Limos because I am getting married at the RH. I felt the same way that I could save money.

Danford's Hotel and Marina is in Port Jeff...I think the Three Village Inn is over there as well.

I am getting married at my RH and am staying less than 10 min away...we'll probably get some kind of shuttle service for ourselves, but not limos...too much money for not enough reward.

Just make sure if you dont get limos that someone has a car that you will be comfortable in with your dress on......I know that I would have had a hard time in a normal car

Since we were also married at the reception hall we didn't get transportation either and it was great because it was so easy to pack up our gifts and stuff in our cars after the reception. We saved $$$!

i would just get a car to pick you two up after and take you to the hotel

i'm getting married at the RH but i'll be getting a limo because the RH is in staten island and i want to stop by brooklyn for pics before hand. if it wasn't for that though, i'd definitely NOT do a limo and save on it!

I thought about cutting limos too, but everyone said it would really be nice to get one for the bridal party so.. we are getting on 22 pass escalade for three hours to pick up the guys at our apartment and us at the hotel and bring us all to RH. We are seeing each other before so that may be different from what your planning. We got quotes from one place for 500 for a pick up andn drop off, that may be what you want to do to saw money too.

fm me for any questions

My sister used the Hampton Inn for her wedding at the Meadow Club -- it was about 10-15 minute Ride.

Do I think you need a limo no -- however like PP said make sure who ever is driving you has a car you can easily get in and out of and is clean.

For me I had no one in my immediate family drive that day because your mind is in a million places and I knew they would have a few drinks so think about your transportation after the reception too.

Hmm I will check to see if these hotels that all of you helpful, wonderful girls!!! have given have a shuttle service. If they do, maybe I can use that to transport the bridal party and guests to the reception. I will probably rent a lincoln towncar for myself and maybe my dad to go to the reception, that way I can have room for my dress. Would a towncar be too small to fit my dress haha I don't know maybe I should keep thinking

I'm not sure about hotels near the Meadow Club, sorry, but it's definitely not cheesy to not do limos!! We weren't going to do them either bec me and my BP also got ready at a hotel and we were getting married at the RH. At the last minute we did get one for just pickup and dropoff (only bec were lucky enough to get a good deal). But it's definitely a place you can save some money
