There's a possibility you can do this, but you might have to have your wedding during an 'off season'...maybe on an afternoon wedding or a Thursday night wedding. A buffet is also a good way to save money.
Could you try to save in other areas too so you can spend more on the venue? (such as flowers..limos..invites..etc)

Really? Most of the halls we looked at was cheaper for a buffet. hmmmmmm

I cant seem to find a wedding hall or place that wont cost more that 15,000 - 20,000 for 450 people and allow outside catering. Any suggestions PLEASE! It could be in LI, queens, westchester, etc.. Please

That is a hard one. I am having 450+ as well.
I called many places and there soo expensive...
I found the Sterling and they are too bad. They were the best place also to o accomodate that much people.
Also if you book with Duval. You get a great price as well for both video and photos, thats if your event is at the sterling.

I recommened them.

thanks everyone for your suggestions i will definately be checking most of them out this weeked. I know 450 ppl is alot and we are working on cutting back but i want to see the available options first.

I forgot to mention i am having 2 weddings a smaller traditional wedding 2 weeks before the white wedding which i already have a venue for. so my budget is already big. I know the price 20k seem small for 450, but i was hoping since no food is involved that might work.
