Need an inexpensive Videographer for my E-Party

Can any of you ladies provide me with some names/numbers of great videographers, but inexpensive at the same time. I just want a videographer that will tape the event and add some special effects.
Thanks....I'm going to post this on the vendor board, but thought I'd get you suggestions first.

Check Nadine Graham's budget site. Someone posted the address the other day for one of Jantany's posts -- pull it up that way. Or you can FM Nadine -- I see her post every now and again. nsgraham

do you really want your e-party on video? I think it's always nice when there's someone with a camcorder taping things, but how often does anyone ever go back and watch those tapes?

Why not have your rehearsal dinner taped, instead? There will be a lot of meaningful speeches, you will be giving out gifts to your bridal party, everyone will probably be teary-eyed. THAT's great stuff to put on video, and then some of it could even be used in your wedding video.

I'm going to look into that...by the way, I couldn't agree with you more about the whole matron v. maid of honor.

I used my camcorder for my e-party. It was passed from guest to guest and was nice to watch and see what everyone taped.
Sorry I'm not much help on vendor info, but if you want to save some $$ I would just use your own camcorder if you have one and have different people record throughout the night.

How did the video come out by giving it to guests?

It was great! Not professional on any level (obviously) but fun to watch. We had some people who had no clue how to record, but ended up getting the greatest shots... and then there were the slightly intoxicated guests who found it amusing to film extreme closeups of people... you. you.
but all in all it captured all of the best moments of the night! I'm very happy we did it this way.

Also...one of my friends used a highschool student who was taking film classes to film her party. He only charged her like $150-$200 or so. That might be an idea if you know anyone in highschool or college taking film class that will be willing to record for you.
