Re: need an interfaith officiant
We are using Pastor April from The Church of Ancient Ways. She is a vendor on this site. FH and I had a wonderful meeting with her on Saturday and are very much looking forward to our ceremony

Re: need an interfaith officiant
Do you want your marriage recognized by the Church? is one of you Catholic? if so, you can get married in the chapel... you just need to get an inter-faith dispensation and go to Pre-Cana.
If you are inter-faith, you can get married outside of the church (i.e. hall) if one party will not bend and get married in a church due to their religious beliefs. . . .you would still need the dispensation and Pre-Cana.
if you just want to get married at your hall and both of you are Catholics a priest will not marry you... it will not be recognized by the Church as a Sacrament. you could be married by a former priest, but again, it would not be a valid marriage church-wise, only legally.

Another one for Father Joe...he is excellent! And he has helped DH and I through some really hard times. He is there for you even after the wedding is over! I would really give him a call. He was the highlight of our ceremony. He made it personal, romantic, and even incorperated a little humor!

The exception for being married outside of a church is when one of the parties is unbaptized... so if it's a recognized baptism (Episcopalian or Lutheran, e.g.), the rule that it must take place in a church still stands. If however, one party is say Jewish, then the couple can get married outside of a church.
