Doesn't have to be a lot of flowers. Something different, unique and beachy (blues, greens, tan/ivory colors.) Somehow incorporating sand and water, but NO fish.
Maybe these glass beads w/ this candlesscape then sand and shells scattered around the outside? Seems somewhat plain though.
Maybe you could put some sand in the glass and then put a candle into the sand. (Sand on the table might be a little messy). You could have a small wreath of flowers around the glass and then scatter shells on the table.

You could take a tall Vase put flowers in the top and fill the vase with seashells (like you see them fill the vases with fruits or stones)

I agree with Bride04. Put sand in the glass with a candle. And put seashells around it on the table.

This past summer I went to a VERY BEACHY wedding. Ceremony held at beach, reception in backyard. I am not sure if the caterers got the c-peics too, but they were so pretty.
They took huge shallow bowls/ceramic I think, and filled with sand, shells, mini star fish, and mini real palm trees. It looked great on the tables.
There was sand on the ground in areas with shells, and the walkway to the backyard was sand with shells too.

I did not use these as centerpieces, but I did use them on my table that had the place cards and favors. Thought I would include the cake, too, in case you needed something like that, too. Let me know if you need any other 'beach' ideas, we had that theme as part of our wedding. Good luck!

It's hard to see, but the cp on the bottom has shells at the bottom of the vase.
