need BM makeup advice

My Friend said that she would do my makeup for my wedding. She does it for a living and my bridal party knows this and just assumed since she was doing this for me that she would do this for them too. Well I never commited her to it cause I hadnt asked her ,and this weekend when I saw here she said she WOULDNT do any of them. it would put her in an awkward position. Just me. Now I dont know if I should get someone else to do theirs and pay for it or what ...

Can you put it to them in a way that won't p them off? They shouldn't have assumed anyway but you can tell them something like her doing your makeup is part of her wedding gift to you and she doesn't have time to do everyone elses.

I know that some of them will get upset like why not. I appreciate my friends honesty that if they dont like the way it came out shes going to be unconfortable and so will they. So shes just not going there. Its my mom though I need to find her someone to make her sparkle.

I've been in more than a few weddings and never assumed that the bride would take responsibility for finding someone to do my makeup. I think it is totally fine to let them figure out where they are going to get it done or if they are doing it themselves or whatever.

i would leave it up to them to find someone. i wouldn't expect the bride to be responsible for getting someone or paying for it.

I agree!

I think maybe checking around to see who's available that can come do any of your BM's if they are interested. I am paying for my BM's make up as part of their gift...not sure if this is something you would concider?
