Need ceremony music/strings for cheap!
I am on a really tight budget. My ceremony is being held in a church. Anyone know of a violinist or two (other string players) who's willing to audition and play for less than $200/person for my ceremony?
My priest said he could get an organist for $200. I am only having the ceremony, not Mass which is longer including communion. I don't want to have just an organist. I want some music for the prelude when guests are being seated 15 minutes or so prior and I love the sound of harps, violins etc. Harps are roughly $350 so I figured perhaps a violinist which is around $200. but, with an organist, that means $400 for ceremony music. More than I want to spend for roughly a half hour ceremony.
I've read that to save money, I could try music schools or people who don't necessarily do this as a profession, but would play for less than that amount. Any help appreciated.
