Neither of us have ever been ona cruise, I dont know if its something we would like or not, but I was thinking about really looking into it. the few people I know who have been on cruises didnt like them, so I never really pursed getting info. Anyhow, can any of you tell me about the cruise you went on, what cruiseline you used, do any leave out of New York? I know there is a cruiseline out of New York, but I dont know the name, also what did you like and Didnt like about the cruise!!!???? I know its alot of questions, Im just trying to figure out what to do For my husbands birthday coming up... Thanks so much!!!

If you are not sure, maybe take a 3-4 day bahama cruise, and try that. I went on Royal Carribbean for 7 days, and LOVED it. Hubby and I would LOVE to book another one, but the prices are so expensive for when Im off. I want to take one elaving NY, but nothing goes out till the early spring I think.

i have taken royal carribean and celebrity from new york to bermuda. i loved both lines. the food was amazing and the people on the ships were so nice and friendly. i highly recommend going to bermuda. the island is stunning, with pastel houses and pink sand. it's breathtaking!

we have been on carnival and on princess. we love them both.
2 of the new carnival ships leave from NY - the Carnival Miracle and the Carnival Legend. One goes to the Bahamas, the other to the Caribbean.

WE took the Carnival Legend out of NY last May for our honeymoon and we loved it. It was a Carribean cruise. We were very happy with Carnival, food and service was great. I would recommend it to anyone who really wants to relax and do nothing for a week.

i went on a cruise out of miami and i enjoyed myself. i went on norwegian and it was a nice ship and had a great staff. i also cruised out of ny on the norwegian dawn and loved that there were 10 restaurants on the ship and you didnt just have to eat at the dining room. i think a cruise is what you make and you have to like being on the water. you can do as little as you want or as much. i love going off the ship and seeing the sights as well ands you can take shore tours

Do a search on 'cruise' and you'll come up with several posts on the subject in the last few months. (I'm not saying that to blow you off, just to direct you to more information than I can come up with here and now. )
Definitely check out cruisecritic.com. I found it has the best unbiased information about all the different lines, ships, and ports. My fourth is coming up in September and I can't wait. Go for it.

We've done a Royal Caribbean cruise out of Miami and it was the most amazing vacation we've ever done! I'd definitely recommend it!!

I had never been interested in cruising but we decided to book one for our honeymoon. It was the absolute best vacation ever! We took the Voyager of the Seas - Royal Caribbean which I know leaves from NY now. I don't think you can go wrong with a cruise, but I would definitely do a little research and choose the ship you think is best for you.
