Who did you use, or going to use? When you meet with them privately, what do they do, show you a video?
Also, the DJ is not the 'MC', right? Do you need an MC?

i highly recommend tommy's tunes!! they are great! they showed us a video when we first met with them....i have been to several of their weddings and it's always a good time

I have a great DJ that I booked, I am sure you have tons of recommendations now but he is awesome! His name is Gabe and the name of his company is GLMJ Sounds, not a LIW vendor, but he is very reasonable! When we met with him, he had his whole set up. He showed us each way that he would announce our BP, our parents, how he would handle the first toast, the first dance, the cake cutting, the mother.son and father/daughter dance..>We were there for two hours going over each choice. He is not an MC and he told me, he doesn;t like to hear himself talk, he wants people dancing as much as possible. He is also bilingual which was a plus for me since my FH is Latino and a lot of his family is coming from Chile.
I love him and he has been so patient with me because music is my biggest concern! He is not from one of the big companies, he owns his company but he travels from Brooklyn to Montauk and back again! If you want more info, FM me.
