Hi. My MOm is hosting an e-party for us in her backyard on Oct.1st. Nothing fancy, but I wanted to add a few little unique touches. Any ideas? Favors?do we need them?

I had a BBQ yard type thing-it was beyond HOT that day so we had use of the pool-and we did Tiki torches and had a margerita bar set up ( you can rent machines)-
we did give out favors but not in the theme of the party....
what are you thinking of?

I gave out a rose to each woman who attended as a favor. We also did a BBQ at a park. I wanted to get a pinata of a bride or wedding cake for the kids and (people a little tippys) to beat open for candy.

We had a tent in the backyard... to decorate, my mom wrapped tulle around the posts and hung wedding bell decorations (bought at the party store). She also bought plastic champagne glasses and passed out champagne for a toast. My favorite detail was the cheescake-martini bar! She stole the idea from a caterer (hehe)! Instead of make-your-own sundaes, she put pieces of cheescake in plastic martine glasses and had all of the toppings for our guests choosing! It was so much fun...I wish I could do it again!

i believe you can find big rolls of cheap tulle at michaels or ac moore.
e-party idea: you can have a cute signature drink. we gave out little mint tins and the label was our save the date. we found cake plates an napkins that had a big engagement ring on it.. local party place

It's going to be small, just the immediate family and the Bridal Party... So probably around 35 people. I'm making chocolate lollipops, and a friend of my sister's is making the mini chocolate bars that have a little saying on them.... Very simple, and I had fun making the pops too!!!!!
