Need gift help

Okay, so a very very close family friend of mine is flying in from Cali a week before the wedding to help out. I wanted to get them something small as a thank you (dont want to spend more than like $45). Any suggestions?

I know the wife loves going out for tea (especially with my mom). I dont know much about the husband. So, im not sure if a themed gift would be good.

are they your parent's age, or closer to ours?

If they're your parent's age, something like a pretty teapot would probably be useless, becuase all 50-60 somethings have WAY too much china to start...

how about getting some assortment of exotic tea leaves, along with a small tea egg for a cup, and a large tea egg for a pot?

I mailorder our gourmet coffee and tea from a shop in NYC. Amazing quality and reasonable prices. Just make sure you put all the bags in freezer ziplock bags to minimize air exposure. Tea will last for years as long as it is not exposed to any air.

They're closer to our parents age -- in their 50's. Definately true about the tea pots. Not to mention, I'm not really sure how much the husband would really appreciate something liek that -- he's not into tea at all.

maybe get them a picnic basket? you could have good wine, gourmet cookies, tea, and other snacks? something must appeal to him!
