When my brother got married 5 years ago, I did ALOT for his wedding. I wrapped all the favors, made all the placecards and wrapped all their OOT baskets (over 50). They thanked me by buying me a nice Tiffany's necklace!
Now, I'm getting married and he and his wife aren't doing much for my wedding but they have 2 small kids to take care of, and they're in the process of buying a house after moving from 3 states away. So... they have a lot going on. I don't think I need to buy them a thank you gift since there's nothing to thank them for, but my mom disagrees. She said it'll create tension so just get them something small.
Any suggestions on gifts?
These are my ideas so far: - a bonsai tree - a nice frame with a photo of their kids inside - a pencil drawing like this one (just an example... photo on left, pencil drawing on right)
