I don't know where you live in Nassau but my Mom brings her pets to Bide A Wee in Wantagh. I used to like them more a few years ago. I think their rates have gone up, there's long waits (as well as wait times to get an appointment) and the quality of care isn't superb anymore. I now take my girls to East Meadow Animal Hospital. Quick in/out visits, flexible appointment scheduling and decent rates. They don't nickel and dime you to death. The doctors really seem to care as well as the staff. It's right on the corner of Newbridge and Hempstead Tpke (behind Burger King).

Dr. Casey in Bethpage is the best, but sometimes he it is hard to get an appointment....when I cannot bring my pug to him I go to the Massapequa Animal Hospital on Sunrise Hwy.

Karissa - John (my DH) used to work at the Carmen Avenue Vet Hospital for 3 years- it's in Hicksville on Carmen Ave (of course).

Dr. Larry is the best Vet - he takes care of my 2 cats.

I'm sorry I dont have the number on me but you can look it up in the phone book.. I highly recommend him.. plus he's close to your house.

Massapequa Animal Hospital on Sunrise is where I go. Dr. Fish is the best, he really cares about the animals.

Hooray, I'm so glad I found someone here who goes to the EMAH! We live right down the street and once we get our Rottie, we plan on taking him there. I'd love to hear more about your experience with your own pets there - could you please FM me? Thanks!!

I use EMVH also. And I am ALSO right up the road from them. They are really nice there. They look after my 2 cats and my dog stays at the Puppy Hilton when we go on Vacation. She always comes home clean and happy.
I definitely reccomend them!
