Need Hair Help

I am getting a haircut this week - I am dying to cut my hair a la Victoria Beckham and asked my wedding stylist if it would be ok since I am using extensions for the wedding but she said its better off not to cut my hair that short in the back - so I'm trying to find a nice haircut that will make me happy until I can really cut it I still want to wear my hair off the side for the wedding but in a shorter style....

Right now my hair is so long (past my bra strap) and because its baby fine it looks stringy and it doesnt hold any style - all I can do is flat iron it or wear it in a pony tail - i am sick of it....

I attached two pictures of cuts that I like - I'd like something layered and I think something that is around shoulder length or a little shorter....does any one have any pictures or ideas? I've been searching all morning!

denise do you have any pictures of the back of your hair now? is it long enough to pull over to one side? i remember you hair being a longer version of the haircut i want - but maybe i can just do it like that for now if the back is long enough....i know i can cut it and grow it out for the next few months but i hate doing that - i want a style that i can keep not that i can cut it once and then grow it out right away

my hair is not even long enough to really put in a regular ponytail right now. If i put it in a ponytail, i have the short little ponytail that sticks out straight with barely 2 inches of hair, it would be impossible to put to the side...when i cut my hair i took a pic of what the back looked like, here is a pic

its longer right now than i want but still not that long and i really cant even wear it in a ponytail

dont mind the back, its a bit messed up and not blow dryed

yeah i think for right now i need it to be a little longer in the back - like you know that bone in your spine where your neck and shoulders meet - i think it has to be at least that long in the back - or else it won't look natural when she does it on the wedding day (well at least that is what she told me )

it wont, you do need length...unless you get a full head of bonded extensions then just the clip on extensions wont help if your hair is short.

yea i am doing clips in - no bonding

what about something like this?

for the wedding i want to do something like this - i mean not exactly - but off to the side but not hanging past my shoulders...

what about something like this?

you said you have thin hair, do layers work for you? they always do layers in my hair and i beg them now to PLEASE stop although nobody listens to me lol. Since my hair is so thin, unless i stay a loooong time blowing it out and really taking time with it the layers dont even show, then it wont sit right so it annoys me, but the hairstylists dont listen

if that style would work fine with your hair then go for it

yeah layers stay good in my hair but only when its shorter - i usually flip out the bottom layers and curl under the top layers - similair to that picture - when its long like it is now i blow it out and nothing happens - but if my hair is shorter its not heavy so it stays the way i blow it out....thats why i cant take this long hair - because it doesnt do anything - it just hangs there - its very blah
