need hair help...please!Kinda long..but Im desperate
I am not from LOng Island so I dont know who does hair there thats good..here is my problem..I just want a blow out for my wedidng day..I have curly hair and just want it simple and straight..my bridal party wants the same..we need someone who will come to the hotel..I asked Jacqueline Nicole who she would recommend..and she gave me three names..one girl is already booked, one girl was a worng number and teh other girl said they were close to the hotel by 15 minutes and that we could either go to her or she would come to us..I drove in there today for this blowout..but it turns out she could only come to us at 9 am..which is crazy when my wedding doesnt start until 630 that night, or we would have to go to her..which would have been fine..but her salon was much farther than 15 minutes..we would just really like someone to come to us..we are willing to pay double,..can anyone recommend anyone who may be able to go to the Roslyn Claremont on a friday afternoon.? I know I still have a little bit of time..but I want to get them booked. Im nervous!!If anyone can help me...I would really really really appreciate it!

I used to go to Millenia Salon which is in Roslyn. It is really close to the Claremont. Laurie is excellent. She takes her time. She probably would go. I think there may be two Laurie. So when you call you can describe her as having really long hair and she is really skinny.

I wouldn't recommend Jennifer from Fairytale. She's more for updo's and more 'extravagant' styles. I know that Frasada Salon in Oceanside is open on Sunday as well as Saturday (they do good blow outs). If you call, you can arrange for one of the stylists to go to you the day of the wedding (just tell them what time).

Thankyou! I will call laurie and frasada salons...Ill take my sister and we'll both get blowouts and see how we like it. Millenia is right aorund the corner so it may eb very easy for her to come to the hotel...thanks sosooooooooo much!!!

i think there is a place in oceanside named symmetrix thatis good. i used to go there. also, in baldwin there is city slickers, which is pretty good too. check them out. also, maximus salon is in westbury in the source mall. alot of people use them too. goodluck!

You should also try Anthony Cole in Bellmore. I go to Michael for my blow-outs and he does a GREAT job. Also Mishy on here, used Vivian for an updo and LOVED her- but she also does blow-outs. Their number is 516-221-1840 and it's only about 20 minutes away or so from Roslyn.

I second Laurie from Millenia...she cuts my hair and she is awsome..she does great blow outs and she is so nice. Definitely give her a call.

Hey, NuBest is right down the road from Roslyn Claremont.... also, you may want to call Maxximus salons. I have been there & have used them on shoots and they do really great blowouts... and I think some of them travel for Brides.

Oh and minniebride you are WRONG, Jen did 2 of my BM's hair for the wedding and we loved it! One Straight & simple & half up & half down, just like my BM wanted it, the other half up, half down & curled

You guys are so helpful..thanks!! And jen..thats the picture I love...yea!! Jen from fairytale im pretty sure is the girl who was already booked..Diane was the wrong number and Brenda was the other girl JN recommended that I drove in for..she did a great job but her schedule wont work out with ours..unfortunately..my hair stayed straight even through the rain!! I guess I will call the people closest to the hotel first because travel would be easiest or them..so I have alot of people to work with...THANKS AGAIN everyone...you guys are so helpful...I have so many people to call now!!!
