I go to Cactus in Syosset, but I just moved to Islip, and there is one there, too. (I haven't been to it, though... but Cactuses... or Cactii are good).

Instyle Hair Salon on Hunter Avenue in West Islip. I think cuts are $27.00 (for long hair)

Salon Posh in Babylon Village on Montauk Hwy is great. They're not cheap but they do great work and they're open on Sundays from 9am to 4pm
