Joseph is not drinking from his bottle anymore. He just refuses it. I have tried 3 different types of nipples (Advent & Playtex--2 different types) and he still won't even touch it. the only way I can get him to take his formula is by spoon feeding it to him and you can imagine how that is making me nuts. I even tried putting it in a cup (both sippy and regular) and although he will take a couple of sips at first, he then refuses it at all. I am at wits end! I know he needs to get at least 16 oz. a day but I'm lucky if he gets half that and it's usually from making his cereal like soup. Anyone have any suggestions?

Sorry if I am forgetting this...but are you a bfing mom? I have heard about this with moms who bfing and use a bottle, but never from a mom who has only bottle feed. Which nipples did you try? The ONLY nipple Molly will take is the silicone playtex with the liner bottles. She will not even take a pacifer at all (although she did the hospital) Could it be that the nipples are too slow for him and he needs the faster ones?

Re: Need Help!
I BF for the first 6 months (but even then he would take my milk from a bottle). He's been on formula since then and it hasn't been a problem until now. I tried all different nipple flows, slow to fast. He sucks his pacifier with no problem so I don't think it's his teeth.

Hum....I have heard of nursing strikes before..could this be like that? You pumped for the 6months? I didn't know that. I would call the doctor honestly. I have not heard of a baby only wanting to be spoon feed so young. But I am sure he is fine. Just being stubborn
