Need help

My Dad has beautiful handwriting, so I asked him to do the calligraphy for our invitations. I figured he did the calligraphy for my Bat Mitzvah, so it shouldn't be a problem.

WRONG.

There have been at least a half-dozen envelopes with mistakes on them, from inviting children who weren't invited to misspellings of names, to writing Brooklyn instead of Brookline.

These damned things have to go out tomorrow, and guess who's up, by herself, stuffing them all? It's not like I can just bring them back over to Dad to have him fix the problem, he's in CT. We've had the invitations since MARCH. He did such a half-assed job, he didn't write on the inner envelopes because I didn't tell him he needed to (but he knew for my Bat Mitzvah, nothing's changed). And when I started bugging him about a deadline he was saying, 'I didn't know you had a deadline.' Dad, the wedding is TWO months away, when did you think we were going to send the invitations? The week before?!

I don't understand, if he didn't want to do the calligraphy, why didn't he just SAY so?!

ETA: What do I do about the envelopes with mistakes on them?! They have to go out!!!!!

Re: Need help

I would say if you have extras handwrite those with errors or try to set something on your computer.

At this point I don't think you have much choice unless you can find a calligrapher to take them to tomorrow to fix the wrong ones and send those out a day or two late??

Good luck, sorry you have to deal with this.
