Hey guys...was wondering if anyone had any ideas for me. I dont want a diet per say..but definitely need to start eating better...for some reason I have no control over portions or anything. If anyone has any 'diets' or eating plans that work please let me know...or any exercise programs that work please let me know also!! I have tried WW but not seriously..never went to meetings, sort of just used my sisters info and tried it..got really frustrated with the points lol But if anyone can give me more info on that and/or anything else thats not a crazy diet please let me know!! Thanks

if you don't really want a strict diet you should try good old fashioned calorie counting. fitday.com is a great free tracking site. i think counting is really helpful b/c you realize how much you are actually eating. also i'd try to eat more veggies and fruits and things. good luck!

hmm that might be a good idea..just worry that if I had such a problem with WW points i might be worse with calories (especially if im eating out at a resturante or something)

I have several friends that have just started paying attention to the food pyramid. My father had a horrible diet. Fast food, fried food, meat ,meat and more meat with very few veggies. A few months ago he (after a little scare at the DR's) he started following the pyramid. His cholesterol which was off the charts is down in the normal range and his blood sugar levels are much better. Not to mention he has lost 25lbs. It might be worth a try.
Oh, and if you start measuring your portions it really helps. You'd be surprised at what an actual serving size is. Good luck!!!
