**NEED HELP**

**NEED HELP**

Okay, this is not the end of the world, but need help. My dad is driving me nuts!!

My dad and step-mom are coming to town (from SC) for my e-party on Apr 23. They were going to stay at my apt but now want to stay at a hotel. Fine. But my dad does not have a lot of $$ and I am having a hard time finding a nice hotel for a decent price. The cheapest I have found was $112 at the Holiday Inn Express (JFK). See I live in Ozone Park, E-Party is in Rockaway Park and they are flying in and out of LGA.

ANY suggestions!?!?!? I am open, but want something nice for them to stay at for only Fri and Sat nights (4/22 and 23). UGH!!!

Oh, we do have AARP and military avail for discount!

Thanks!!!

I'm also in OZP. I've tried to find people affordable hotels but it's just so impossible b/c we're so close to the airport.

What about the comfrot inn on queens blvd in rego park?

there's always the crossbay motor inn!

but seriously try hotwire.com or expedia or orbitz..this close you may be able to get a good last minute deal

I second using hotwire, I always find good deals there. You just don't know the name of the hotel until after you book, but they use the ***** rating system.

I did a quick check for the weekend you want, near LGA, and I found a 3* for $88 per night.

Good luck!

How about going through Hotwire or Priceline?

Jill, can you convince him to stay with you? Explain to him that it's expensive and that you would rather him stay with you where you know it's safe and clean than stay at a hotel where you don't know.

As for prices, the lowest rate I have seen is the Red Roof in in Westbury ($109 a night) but that may be too far.

Good luck!

Not to speak for MsKitty, but LGA is kind of far...we're closer to JFK

Re: **NEED HELP**

Having worked in a hotel for years throughout college, noone ever asks you for a AAA card or a AARP card when you check in.

Ask for either discount. Also, 1-800 numbers tend to give better discounts than the front desk.

You can also use priceline. Go up in $5 increments as far as you are comfortable.

Thank you all for your help. I am just going to give them the info I have $112/night for the Holiday Inn Express. Sasha- thanks but there is no convincing them. I even talked to my step-mom last night and she said it's not that they don't want to stay with me, just that they want their own space. I am now saying 'Whatever', if they want to spend the $, let them spend it!

Again, thank you all
