Need Help!

I am getting married in May and I still haven't booked my florist and my photographer. I have met with a few but non of them seem to be any good.Can anyone please recommend someone to me. Time is running out.Thank You!

I booked Cassarino Studious for pics and A Florid Affair for flowers. A Florid affai comes to you so worth checking out. They are listed under vendors on this board.

What is your budget for photography?

On the pricier side:
Creative Compositions (who I used)
Mark Kauffman (Search for Sonicstef's pictures)
Marquee

If your budget is tighter:
Fine Art
Paul Marino

Some good Florists:
In Full Bloom
Stefans
Florissima

I would avoid Spitz and Peck, I've heard mixed reviews.

I used Imagine Studios - a bit pricey but worth it. They might already be booked for your wedding date though.
As for florists, I checked out a few.
More expensive:
Sugar Magnolias - Heidi is really amazing.
James Cress - A bit pricey but quality florist
Less expensive:
Burtons
Hedgecock Florist - I used them - SO cheap. Great prices - Nice flowers.

I haven't booked my florist yet either (and my wedding is also in May). I can recommend a photographer, though. Her name is Susan Francy and she's a true photojournalist (she's been doing photojournalism her entire career, not just when it recently became popular.) If you like this approach, check out her web site - susanfrancyphotographs.com -- all her info is on there. She did a FANTASTIC job at my friend's wedding and we searched high and low all over the city and LI for someone of her caliber (and reasonable price range), but no one compared to her, in our opinion.

I booked cassarinos for photography and Arcadia Florist. I was extremely happy with both vendors. Cassarinos has several packages to choose from and they will work with your budget. My flowers were absolutely beautiful.

I used Flowers by Brian and Fine Art. Recommend them both. You can search for my pictures. I posted them in November some time if you want to see their work.

I booked JoVon but we also like Sherwood Triart and Cassarino for photography.
Look at Burtons and Flowers by Michelle.

I am having MorMiles Florist in Rockville Center. Carol Anne who I spoke with took the time to talk to me and see what arrangements I could use. I had a headstart of what flowers I wanted and she took it from there.

As for photography, Im using a personal friend of mine who does weddings, but I like Patken as a photographer.

We are using Verdi for photography and Sugar Magnolias for flowers for our June wedding. Let us know your budget for these items and we can probably steer you in a clearer direction : ). Good luck!!!
