need help - after party

Ugh....I'm having a mini-meltdown! My aunt is INSISTING that she and the rest of my family (consisting of maybe 10 people, including my 87 year old grandpa) can't hang out in a hotel room after the wedding (which ends at 6 PM) and that I need to arrange something for them to do.

Anyone know of a local restaurant they can go to and hang out in a bar area? I am not familiar with Syosset area at all! Anyone who stayed at the Executive Inn know if there's anyplace in the hotel they can hang? The one person I spoke to so far told me to go to a local bar, but I see they have some kind of seating area there in the hotel.

Help!

im sorry, but this sounds kinda crazy...

i would delegate this to someone else in your family to handle. who will be going with them? your parents? ask them to figure it out

My parents are staying at the hotel as well, and told my aunt that they will be tired from waking up in the morning early for the wedding and the rehearsal dinner the night before so they will be going straight to bed.

No one wants to help me with this task

ITA... you just provided something to do at the wedding... no need to provide something for after unless you want to...

call the hotel! ask them for suggestions...im sure they have ppl bothering them alot asking 'what is there to do around here'

if they have a lobby/bar, great. thats good enough. if not, ask them to suggest a local hangout.

and then just tell your aunt about it. its not your job to do everything. and they should understand that

and you are right, more likley then not they will go to sleep early. so dont stress too much

just ask the hotel to give you suggestions.

and im sorry you need to deal with this. im in a fiesty mood today so whatever i suggest will not be too nice

we stayed at the executive inn after our wedding....theres a very big lounge area on the first and second floor of the lobby we fit about 40/50 pp....maybe they can bring cards or a board game to play HTH
