I have gone 2 times and I am getting darker, but my lines are still not gone on my chest. Can I use a little outside taning oil on just the 'line' areas to help tan more than rest of me???

I would be VERY VERY careful about that - I don't think you can not use any other oil. Please ask the salon director about that.

Ouside tanning oil isn't going to do much but here is what you could do...put a block on your tannest areas and don't put anything on your lines. Or, have you used an indoor tanning lotion? That will give you more color, so try putting that on your lines that you want to get rid of.

I never thought of the block. I am so afraid of that stuff and self tanners toom becuase I don't want to make streaks.
anyone recommend a good self tanner. (I am worried about my tan lines on my chest).

I wouldn't try that. Go with the tanning lotion on your lines only the next couple of times you go, or for a quick fix try a self tanner on your tan lines.

You're afraid of sunblock and tanning lotion? I am not talking about a self tanner, it is just like putting regular lotion on. There is nothing to be scared of. I have never used a self-tanner, so I can't help you pick one out. Sorry.

see you gotta look at tanning like its painting.... atleast thats how I relate to it cause im an artist. if you paint one area and then leave a surrounding blank the one area you painted first will always be darker than the area you left blank at first. what you need to do is block or (not paint) the darker area while you paint the lighter area. then you will achive the same tone all around.
im sorry if nobody understands it is a bit weird how I explained it ... but I understand it

I understand you....
He is telling you to only tan your lines and cover the rest of you with a sunblock or what have you...

no no no, I totally understand, what I am afraid of by using block is that I will get streaks from where I put it on. you know what I am talking about, those people you see after they were at the beach and you ask them, you must hav used sun block, cause parts are red/tan parts aren't.
I already have a halo around my tatoos of where I put sunblock.
that is why I hoped that oil/tanning lotion just only 'whitter' parts would help.

Use an indoor tanning lotion with a bronzer that the salon sells either in those little cups or packets. Try Matahari Dark Sexy Tan or California Tan Power. Just remember to wipe your hands after you apply the lotion or you could get a bit of color in between your fingers

Just make sure you put it on evenly.

Re: Need Help AGAIN..Tanning
is you use a tanning color lotion im afraid the color of your tan already will not match with the pigmented lotion you put on your lighter parts. in my opinion that would look much worse than tanlines. also to elliminate streaks just have your hubby rub you down good before you get tanned.. then if you get streaks you can blame him.
also Im sure your aware of this but always take care of your skin while tanning. its very risky. make sure you keep an eye out for developeing darkspots and such.

Thanks for all the comments. When I go today, I will see what the girls suggest if they have some of that enhancer. I agree about the not matching that was a concern of mine too.
I don't usually tan,and actually haven't since 1996. Even know I always use a sun block. I have the type of olive spanish/italian skin, but still carefull. I hope this last time works.
