NEED HELP AND OPINIONS...My Dad is not coming to the wedding, poll included.

SO my Father for religious reasons has decided not to come to my wedding....I'm not going to stress about it, there is nothing I can do to change it, I have cried enough! So here are my questions.

I have 6 brothers, 5 will be coming to the wedding. I am thinking of asking my oldest brother to walk me down the isle. My other alternative is to walk down the isle with my FH, and of course I can always walk by myself.

Also, FH will be having mother son dance with his mom, so I was thinking, since my dad will not be there that maybe I should have one song played, and quickly dance with each of my brothers. Is this all a bad idea? Should I do NO dance? And what song wold be appropriate?

I am sorry for so many questions, this was all just layed on me this weekend. SO I am just getting over being sad, and now need to think what it is I want to do. ALl ideas appreciated!!!

Aww.... well here is what I would do.... Walk down with your oldest bro and dance with all of them!

Walk with oldest brother and dance with oldest brother. You should not have to miss out on those things. I am really sorry your dad will not be there.

I'm ina similar situation. I decided to have my mom walk me down the aisle and skip the parent dances altogether.

one of my sister's went threw with the same situation for her wedding in 04' my dad threaten not to show up at her wedding the week of it. If he pulls his stunt with me, I will tell him whatever and have one of my older brothers walk me down and dance with the my mother instead. I really don't care, I don't need him stressing me out on mine and FH special day.

Sorry, I think it will be a nice idea to walk down with your eldest/younger brother (If you have and older one then walk down with him vice or versa) and dance with the one who walked you down.

I think that you should walk down the isle with the brother that you are closest too, not who is the oldest. and I think that dancing with each of your brothers is a great idea. I've seen this done at weddings and I think it's so fun to watch.

Im sorry to hear that your dad wont be there it share in your day. Here are BIG HUGS for you!

i am in a similar situation, i am walking down the isle alone (i hate the idea of being given away), and i think we are going to skip the parent dances. my fi hates to dance as it is, i am lucky he will be dancing with me in the spotlight so i do not want to puch it lol. i do have 5 brothers, though i think only 3 will go (2 are inthe bp). i was thinking if we did do the parent dances, i would dance with one at a time, the other 2 cutting in so they each get a turn. i don't know yet. best of luck! ~lacey

I would walk down the aisle with my oldest brother, then when it came down to the song time, I actually like the idea of playing one song and dancing with all of your brothers, I think that is sweet

Wow.. I think walking with your oldest brother is nice or even the one you are closest to is nice too. The dance with all 5 of them are nice since you dont want to deprive your FH dancing with his mom.
