NEED HELP---CAN'T PICK BETWEEN..........

Re: NEED HELP---CAN'T PICK BETWEEN..........

I picked the place I loved, which is 25 mins east of me, and I'm an hour east of most of my family in guests, who are in Nassau. They'll get there. I'm making hotel and bus accommodations for those who are drinking and don't want to drive. Pick the hall you love.

Follow your heart. It is your wedding not thiers. I personally booked the Watermill (In the Astor Suite also) but that is my own opinion) And the minimum was less...hint hint

The Watermill maybe further , out but it is nicer. How about blocking some hotel rooms and giving your guests the option of staying out on Suffolk on Saturday night.

Of course this might add extra expenses for you (shuttle bus, Sunday brunch) so think it through.

I had to choose my location partly based on location. I have people coming from Queens and Brooklyn and chose a hall that is closer. There are so many beautiful halls further out in LI that I didnt look at because of distance.

I went to both of them, and I loved the WCC much better than the Watermill. You could here the cars in the highway from the ceremony location. Also the grounds at WCC are very very elegant and you can have all your pix there w/o a problem. Watermill was pretty small.

Anyways, I'm definitely leaning towards WCC

Watermill!!! It may be far but if people decide to stay in the holiday Inn they will have shuttle service! I think the min for the Astor room on a Saturday night is 220. I have the Vandebuilt room and we have a 150 minimum, that rooms hold 191 max, but the Astor is much bigger.

Go with Watewrmill if you can get to their minimum.

both are beautiful so you can't really go wrong. FH's cousin in getting married at the watermill in september and his family is about 45 minutes away and they are definitely going. don't worry about the distance...those that love you will make it a point to be there!

Actually the Vanderbuilt is the larger room (downstairs), the Astor is the smaller room upstairs.
