Need help choosing wedding band

My engagement ring has a matching wedding band (see below):


But recently I have been thinking I want an eternity band like this:


I emailed bluenile (where FH got my ring) and they said both bands would work, but that the one that is a match would sit more flush. I guess the prongs all around the eternity band wouldn't sit flush with the bottom of my e-ring as there aren't prongs all around on that. FH wants me to get what I really want (ie the eternity band) because he said he doesn't want me to want a new ring a year from the wedding.
However I am concerned that the eternity band won't sit right. Does anyone have a set like this that they could give me a recommendation?

I don't have a set like this.. I wish I did. I love that style. Can you maybe go to a store and see if they have one that is very similiar to the one on Blue nile to try it on? I think it would look great though. Only the bottom part would not sit completely flush IMO but you can barely notice that and I still dont think it would look bad! Look at all the girls that have solitare settings but get eternity bands with it.. they look awesome! I think thats how it would look.

It's not the look of the eternity band with my ring that worries me, it is that because they don't sit flush the fit may get uncomfortable or annoying.
Your recommendation to try one on in a jewelry store is good. We have to go to one to get FH's finger sized anyway. I just always feel bad trying things on when I know I won't buy them.

I love both, but in my opinion, I would get the one that matches because with the eternaty band.. the diamonds all around could come off when you accidentaly bang your ring on the table, cooking.. etc. They are pretty big, so they cost a lot to replace.. JMO

It's true my friend has an eternity band which she only wears on special occasions like weddings and parties and every time she brings it to the jeweler to have it checks stones are loose. So I would be worried with wearing an eternity band everyday. Don't get me wrong I think it's absolutely beautiful but you might wind up loosing stones.

no mine does not go all the way around almost all the way i would say a good 3 quarters of the way!
