R&T - Sorry but I think you misread her post - she HAS been there before for a wedding and was giving her OPINION (obviously different from yours) about the outside appearance of Russo's. I would want to know this as well if I were getting married there.

Was there enough food at the cocktail hour? How about the dinner I know the presentation is supposed to be wonderful, but was it enough that noone complained? Did you do the cigar bar afterwards? Was it worth the extra $$$? Who did you have to book, Cynthia or Pat? I have spoke with both and Pat gave me a more expensive price!

There was way too much food at the cocktail hour for anyone to take it all in -- no one I spoke to made it to all the stations that were set up (We had 7 different stations, in addition to 10 unique passed hor d'oeuvres) . Dinner was more then enough on its on, but after cocktail hour everyones already full. hehe. Everyone rolled themselves out the door.
I had a Sunday afternoon wedding, so cigar bar wasn't an option. I booked with Cynthia, who took great care of us.

I am not really familiar with any of these places personally, but I am a Lessings Bride(Timber Point Country Club). Lessings has good food & has benn in the caterering buisness a long time which I fell makes them reliable. I met with three of their establishments & felt all the people were very nice & willing to negotiate. I have heard good things about Bourne Mansion(I didn't really look into them because the site fee was out of our budget). I should also say that I heard postive things about all these places, so I am really only trying to share my experience(thus far) with Lessings.
Edited to say that I also wanted let Jenny5150 know there was another Lessings bride here!
