Need help finding an Informal Wedding Dress. UPDATE with PIC
Ok ladies. I must have tried on literally 40 or more dresses...have i found 'the one'? Not yet. It was easier finding the guy!!!! haha...I am looking for a more casual, informal style since my wedding is outdoors in June and FH will be wearing just a shirt & pants. I want light & flowing fabric because it's on the water & a beach theme & i don't want to melt in the heat under 20lbs of fabric. I like the look of chiffon overlays...i have no boos and broad shoulders (thanks grandma) so strapless is not the most flattering. i am trying to find a scoop neck or V-neck style. And nothing too straight or flat in the stomach area...want to camoflauge the gut & hips. But I do still want to feel like a bride...I've tried some dresses that look nice on me but they don't feel 'wedding' like to me...sorry this is so long & i just feel like I will end up settling

Found this one at Macy's today after my makeup trial....what do you think? I love the fact it's not white...they call it 'sand'..it's actually got a hint of rose to it i think...looks nicer in person...not so yellow!
Many bridesmaid dresses are available in White or Ivory....some of them are so beautiful. You can get beading, so beading, train, no train, sash, flower, etc. I recommend looking somewhere that has a large selection of BM dresses

great suggestions so far!! also, try a halter top and something with a dropped/defined waist line. that will give a slimming illusion in your mid section... which always flatters!
try the white house/black market. they just came out with a bridal line of very casual yet sleek wedding gowns-- also, the bridesmaid dresses are a good idea. my sister's BM gown is a halter top and it cuts at the waist but it overlays so it is a GREAT tummy hider-- and the bottom is silk organza and very flowy and beautiful...
i'll try to find a pic of that and here is the link to the white house/black market (in woodbury) all white and black clothes with some shades of ivory, hence the name!! HTH GOOD LUCK!!!!!
ETA: here's hoping this works-- this is my sister's dress for her girls but it's GORGEOUS in white and they have pearl (ivory) too... she is getting pink, it's beautiful on-- BEAUTIFUL!!! dress

Soooooooo pretty... DId you to to Macys in Manhassett??? I was there last week and I think I saw that dress... It was in a section with dresses all in that same color Sand... They were really pretty... and it is a NICE color!!!

nope...the one at Smithaven Mall...much closer to me! I tried on a bunch of dresses in that color...it really caught my eye!
