who did everyone use and how much will it cost for about 150-175 invitations???
(also how long before your wedding should you order them - someone told me 6 months - hence, my panic!!)

we just picked up our invitations over the weekend. they are by Encore Studios....
you can start looking now...but it does not take more than 3-4 weeks (to be safe) for invites to come in...

I used Lizard Designs , she custom makes them all so it takes a few months, I'm not sure exactly how long, you can email them. Liz is great to work with.
If you order from a catalogue (Patchouge Floral has a ton of them) you get them pretty quickly - only a few weeks.
I used Lizard Designs - www.lizarddesigns.com A few girls on this site also ordered from Liz and I just received my proof and it's amazing! Prices are very reasonable! When I looked I received quotes anywhere from $500 - $2K - depends on what you are looking for.
we just ordered our from Laura at LA Productions. None of the books had exactly what I wanted, so Laura helped us to design our own invites. I love them!!! They perfectly match the rest of our fall theme.
you should definitely start looking soon. you have to leave enough time to get them, address them (or send them out to be addressed), stuff them, etc. plus send them out 6-8 months before the big day.

Deirdre, don't let the people who tell you that you need six months scare you. I got mine in one week. Just remember to build in time for calligraphy and packing!

I used Lizard Designs also and everyone is calling saying how beautiful and different our invitations are!!!! And the best part is that Liz stuffs, stamps and addresses all the invites for you. They are definately worth a look.

Our invitations were from www.renaissancewritings.com They are so fast, and did a great job. The entire order made on handmade paper for double fold invitations (shown, but we picked a different paper with lavender in it), reply cards, reply envelopes, outer and inner envelopes, and bows was about $450 for 100 invitations. They have panel invitations cheaper.
They charge $10 for a sample, but it comes complete with your information if you request it, so you can use it as one of your invitations as long as you like it.
They also have programs, guest books, menus, place cards, etc. so you can coordinate your whole look if you want.
thanks everyone - (and thanks kelly for speelling my name right too!!) i am glad we have more tiem to do this...the whole six months thing was frigtening! (thats what i get for listenign to non-married or enaged people! LOL! -what woudl i do without liweddings.com???)...i will look into all those places...
