Need Help for a Friends Friend planning a wedding....

A friend at work has her bestfriend getting married and apparently the groom is only allowing her to spend $10,000 on the wedding. Hopefully this is only the halls budget but anyhow, they deceided to do a destination wedding to Jamacia but no one could go which was a relief to my friend because she didnt have the money for airfare for her family of 5 and money to pay for hotel accomodations. Can anyone recommend a hall that I could suggest to her? I have already given her Knights of Columbus in Oceanside, New Hyde Park Inn, possibly the Fox Hollow, and the Brentwood Country Club. What else? Thanks Ladies...

I know some places have package deals that include everything, food, DJ a limo etc...I believe Manor East has a few. ANd for under $10k

Really! I live right by the Manor East and I didnt know they did that, thanks I'll have to let her know. I dont know how many people she didnt say. She did say the brides family alone was 75 people and his family was bigger then hers. I heard Brentwood CC does the all inclusive thing so I already told her to tell the bride about that one.

i just went to a wedding at brentwood country club - it was SO nice! and they include everything in their amazing package from ur limos, flowers, photos, etc. the food was great too! good luck to ur friend's friend

My FMIL told me on the phone the other night...The Holiday Inn in plainview has a full package for 9999 for 100 people. I've never been there and actually never even driven past so i have no clue what its like, but the website she gave me was

Great thanks! I am just putting alist together and I will bring it in to her on Saturday at work. I feel bad my friend is a nursing student only works 2days a week now ,is 5months pregnant and has 3little ones at home and her girlfriend was expecting her to pay for not just her dress, but airfare to Jamaica for her, her husband, all her kids and the new baby as well as hotel accomodations and a gift!!! She's relieved that other people told her(the friend) they werent going so she is rethinking it if she(my friends friend)can find a place within this budget. You ladies are great too, Have I mentioned that

Hi. I don't know of any other places that would fit into that budget, I just wanted to save your friend some time. FH and I looked at Fox Hollow and New Hyde Park Inn. At New Hyde Park Inn I only know the price of a Saturday in the summer but I believe that was $105pp. The Fox Hollow is $95pp for a Saturday in the summer. I believe the absolute cheapest you can get it is for $59pp which would be a January or Feb. on a night other than a Saturday. If her family alone is 75 people I assume her guest list is over 100. In that case even on a Sunday in Jan. it would be at least 8,000 just to feed people and she would still need all the other things. hth and good luck to your friend.

Coyote Grill in Island Park
there are also quite a few places in Freeport on the Nautical Mile, right on the water

And better prices are always during the day on off days, Sunday day would be the best pricing.

I was going to suggest Brentwood CC...she can also look at LI Weddings magazine, because they usually have advertisements for these packages

There are a couple of places that have packages like the ariana waterfall in hempstead and the wedding center in commack, i really don't know much about either one though
