We are almost done booking our honeymoon to Hawaii and I just need a little help.
We have 10 days to spend in Maui & Kaui. Originally, we split it right down the middle doing 5 nights in each place. Then, we realized that since the first day is a travel day to Hawaii, we will only be spending 4 full days in Maui and 5 full days in Kaui.
Does anyone have an opion as to which island we should spend more time on? We're going to Honolulu for 1 night after Kaui and then flying out from there.
Thanks, Mindy

Re: need help from Hawaii Honeymooners
We just got back from Hawaii .We landed in Ouhu just to see Pearl Harbor then did 6 days in Maui and 6 days in Kaui. It would really depend on what activites you plan to do on the Isalnds. We didn;t do much on Maui just because we were still tired from the wedding and the traveling. But there is plenty to do on the Island. I would Highly recomend a day trip on the Lucky Lady in Kaui. They take you out on the boat for a tour of the Na'pali coast , snorkeling and lunch. The trip is great and the crew is wonderful!!! We had such a blast it was worth every penny!! I fyou need any suggestions just let me know and I'd be happy to help .You'll have a great time!

Re: need help from Hawaii Honeymooners
I did 5 full nights in each and it was perfect. Hmmm......... it depends on what how you want to spend your time on your HM.
If you want to mostly RELAX - spend the extra day in Kauai If you want to mostly do ACTIVITIES, spend the extra day in Maui.
Hope this helps

I agree with Sassy we did the same 5 & 5 in both islands. and we did activities in both and it was the right amount of time for us.

I also agree. We did 5 nights in each but if you have to choose you have to decide what is more important to you. Kauai is more of a relaxing atmosphere where Maui has a little more action.
Either way you can't lose, they are both beautiful!!

I think that will be perfect! Kaui was gorgeous
Be sure to book the Old Lahaina Luau in Maui before you even get there because the Luaus in Kaui werent that good but other than that similar activities were available on both islands but the natural beauty of Kaui was amazing.
