Need help Irish girls!!!

I know this is a strange question....but are there any types of Irish candy that you may know of...me and FH are giving a donation gift...and I was going to attach an organza bag with candies in it to the card....I am going to use at this point Baci candies ( means kisses in Italian) and wanted to add something Irish for the FH, ( he was born and raised here in the good old USA, but thinks he should have been from Ireland ) any Ideas would be helpful...
TIA

I can help!!! I love love Irish candy let me see here I don't know where you live, but Stop and Shop has an international section that you can find somethings, some of my favorites are crunchies, flakes, lion bars, smarties are also good. FM me if that doesn't work for you I can come up with some other places you can go.

Re: Need help Irish girls!!!

I am your girl.... I LOVE my IRISH candy! I mean, i have a serious, serious obsession.

I would suggest:
Crunchies*
Flakes*
Smarties (not like our Smarties, they're like M & M's but larger and they come in a cute roll like our Rolos)
Aero Bars*
cadbury Buttons (they're so cute... they're shaped like little buttons and they're just plain chocolate. usually sold in a box like raisins or a small bag.

*These can be bought as miniatures in the large bags that you see at Halloween. Although sometimes the bags are harder to find... i've only seen them in Ireland and a few of the better import shops).

Stop and Shop carries Irish candy, but usually only as regular large bars and they will run you at least $1.00 to a $1.50.

If you can get to an Irish neighborhood (McLean Avenue in Yonkers or Katonah Ave. in north Bronx are best) because they have a lot of irish conveinence stores and delis that have all of this stuff at reasonable prices.

The import shops on LI will charge at least a $1.00 - 2.00 a bar.... but perhaps you could inquire about having one of those shops place an order for you and have it delivered.

GOOD LUCK!

These may be expensive but they are really, and I mean really, good. You'll have to have them shipped over.
