Ok so I might be changing from the Oak Room at JT to the Penthouse Room at JT. My situation is that I am having a day wedding on a sunday in September and if I move to the Penthouse Room there is a skylight and I am affraid of the light penetrating the room and blinding my guests. Has any past or present brides had their reception in the Penthouse Room at JT during the day??? How did it go??

hey im thinking of changing my room (dome) to the penthouse also. How was it when you went there to switch rooms? Did they offer any perks since it's a bigger room?

I was also thinking about changing from the skylight to the penthouse...Jericho terrace was not flexible with the guarantee by ten people so I didn't switch

I'm booked in the dome room, but have my heart set on the penthouse. I havent asked my BM to change rooms yet- but since he wasnt very flexible with changing my guarantee #- I wonder what this will turn out like.

I spoke to them earlier and they said I can switch its open if I guarantee 225. Which is surprising since my wedding is 6mos away.

I haven't attended a day wedding there, but I visited the rooms during the day. It was bright, but in a pleasant way. There's no better light than natural sunlight- and the room was glowing. Of course, this may change the tone of your wedding. A lot of people might not want to dance if the dance floor is bright as day. Also, this means that the uplighting that is available in the penthouse room is basically moot. You would definitely have to guarantee a larger number of guests to be bumped from the Oak Room to the Penthouse room, but since it's a Sunday, they might be a little more flexible.
