My dh and I just came into some money and need to get these things done for the house. I was wondering if anyone else has had these things done recently and help me out to see if we have enough money to do them all-Thanks!!

This is approx. what we paid: -Oil Burner: $3800 -Hot Water Heater: installed-$1200+ (but we installed it, so it only cost $800) -Roof : $10,000 (we have an 1800sq ft ranch w/2 car garage) We already had two layers, so the roof had to be completely replaced (my DH and father did all the repairs...since we had a couple of holes.) -Windows: we paid $350 for each Anderson double hung, new construction windows (we installed them.) It's probably double if you plan to have them installed.
No siding....yet!

the roof if its asphalt if its just the installation you COULD figure $1 a sq ft plus the materials which you could get a price for at Home Depot.
Windows you could also price at Home Depot cause there are many different types.
Siding it depends on what you want on there.

We just got 1 bay window and 5 regular windows. The bay was $1800, we got regular nice wood andersons for $350, and a regular window from United for about $150 I would NOT recommend United. We already have to get it replaced (it is defective) and we have had it less than 1 month. My uncle, a contractor, convinced us to it for the kitchen to save some money. Stick with Anderson.

Thanks. I called my oil company today and they quoted $4,050 for the burner and hot water heater. We are still going to look into the roof and siding. I don't think we will have enough for the windows now though.
