Need help on which kids to have in wedding party.

Hi: We are only having 1 matron of honor, 1 bridesmaid, 1 b.m and 1 usher in our wedding party. I also want to have my godchildren (5 yr old boy/girl twins, who'll be 6 at the time of the wedding) as flower girl and ring boy. They are my friend's kids but are like family to me. My F.H. has a niece who is the same age and a nephew who'll be 9 at the time of the wedding. I would love to just have my 2 little ones in the wedding party, but I know that my future sis and bro in law would probably say it isn't right that their kids aren't in it. My F.H. says we don't have to have the kids on his side, but I told him we have to and if we don't then his family will think I'm the bad person. I think having 4 little kids and 4 older people will look like the kids are overpowering the wedding party. Does anyone agree? Also, we don't want to add anymore adults to the wedding party. Anyone else in this or a similiar situation?

honestly, if your FH is willing to forego the other 2 kids....run with that.

Do what YOU want,
I also only have MOH, 1 bridesmaid, BM, 1 Usher, and twin cousins for ringbearer flower girl, Aunt is trying to guilt me into asking other cousin thankfully shes older and she'll just do a reading, If FH doesn't care don't sweat it

Hi: Thanks for the advice. I don't know why I would feel so guilty... I'm still contemplating? Do you think 4 kids and 4 adults would look stupid?

I had 4 BMs (3 of whom are my sisters) DH had 4 GMs We had 6 kids in our wedding party. DH has 3 nephews (well, 4, but the 4th was too young to do anything). I have 3 little cousins that I'm very close with. The twins (5 yrs) escorted my grandmother down the aisle. The two oldest (6 yrs) were our ring bearers and the two youngest (4yrs and almost 3yrs) were my 'junior ushers' (I couldn't call them flower boys! They threw dried fall leaves down the aisle instead of flower petals.

I think 4 and 4 would like fine because 3 of the kids are so young and little,it makes things nice and even
