Hi ladies. My parents are renewing their vows in June (in celebration of their 20th wedding anniversary). My Mom's best friend wants to throw her a luncheon (no gifts, specifially stated in the invitation). She has written on the invitation 'Just an excuse to eat cake!'. She wants each guest to write a special memory that they have of my Mom on a card that will be enclosed in the invitation in lieu of a gift. And we plan on reading them at the luncheon. Now for my question. My Mom's friend wants to know what else we can do for the 4 hours besides eat, chit chat and read the cards. Can anyone suggest any kind of games or something we can do to make more special?
Thanks, ladies!~

How about having a self-performing activities. If you have guests with any artsy talents, they can show off their skills at the luncheon (sing, play music, dance, read poetry/short stories, jokes)

At my FH cousins communion they had a dj that displayed home movies of the kids while the music played. Since all of these people are important to your parent I am sure that you could do something like that either on a Power Point Slide show or hire someone. I think it would be nice for both your parents and their friends to relive their memories through the years!

I went to an 50 th wedding anniversary back in Feb and they did a slide show of the couple down through the years. Its was so NICE there was not a dry eye in the place.
