Need help planning luncheon for my Mom

Hi ladies. My parents are renewing their vows in June (in celebration of their 20th wedding anniversary). My Mom's best friend wants to throw her a luncheon (no gifts, specifially stated in the invitation). She has written on the invitation 'Just an excuse to eat cake!'. She wants each guest to write a special memory that they have of my Mom on a card that will be enclosed in the invitation in lieu of a gift. And we plan on reading them at the luncheon. Now for my question. My Mom's friend wants to know what else we can do for the 4 hours besides eat, chit chat and read the cards. Can anyone suggest any kind of games or something we can do to make more special?

I don't know if this is possible but try and have each guest bring a picture with your Mom in it.

Better yet at my bridal shower, my sister gave each guest a blank card and had each person write a special note to me and my FH. I had 60 days until my wedding so each day I open a card and read what my guest wrote me. It's very sweet, funny and sentimental.
