No I never had to give them a list. I didn't even put my place cards in order. They shouldn't need this.
We made two lists too. One in alphabetical order and the other one by table number. We did the alphabetical list in excel. We listed then by couple, like Mr. & Mrs, or & guest. Basically the list reflected our placecards.

1 with all names and the table number they are sitting at.
No I never heard of that. The only way they got the names of my guests were from the placecards.
Yes, we had to do this.
I would put your list into excel and then sort it...with guests, if you have their name, put it on the list...do as best as you can! Don't sweat it!
