Need help: Suite OR ANY SPACE in NYC for a party

I wanted to throw dh's 30th bday party at the 3 bedroom suite in the flatotel. We did this suite for my friends bachelorette party, and its 2200 square feet the place is huge and suite is gorgeous so perfect space. But i called and they said we cant have a party Now im going to try the rivington hotel bc i know my friend went to a party there but gotta find out more info.

I need a big suite that will allow us to have a party. I need to book this soon so trying to pick a place today if i can.

does anyone know a place that i can have a party at?

ETA: Ok i should look into other options, i need a space to throw a party. Dont want a catering hall, dont want a formal sit down thing. So i guess doesnt have to be just a suite or penthouse in ahotel but somewhere in Manhattan to throw a party

i did try the gansevoort but they have a no party policy.

i called the rivington and they allow parties in their penthouse which is 3 stories and real nice. I have to call back tomorrow for the rate, but i can only imagine lol.

I have to find a place that will allow bc i want to make it like a lounge cocktail type party. Even thought of renting gambling tables and that sort of stuff. Now im thinking of plan B and thinking of a place to rent out an area in the city for a party, i dont want just a room in a lounge or anything like that, i do want the space. I also dont want like a formal dinner or catering hall type place, i want to throw a party lol

i need to edit my thread to include options for a place period where i can rent out the area and throw a party. Maybe i should look into lofts in the city where they do parties

i just looked it up, looks very nice but seems like its a place open to the public from reading the reviews, is it only open to the public? i want a place to rent out just for his party, dont want to go to a lounge, otherwise the place does look great thank you. If i can rent out the space for myself then it would be great. Although most places that are open as a lounge to the public wont let you close it down for a sat evening

Try renting out Loft space. If you go to Loft rent.com they have plenty of options. Also, try Gary's Loft. You have to bring in your own food and liquor, but its makes for a really great cocktail party.

yeah thats what i was doing right now, i went to loftrent.com and also this other site but its weird the other site bc shows you the lofts but wont tell you the name and you have to email them and then they tell you lol.

yeah i would prefer to bring in my own food and liquor. Ill get the food catered so this way i can pick exactly what i want. And liquor i can bring in too so thats not a problem.

I would recommend Sutra Lounge, website is sutranyc.com I threw my 30th in the Chakra lounge (downstairs), you mentioned you didn't want your own room, this is your own floor...might be a good compromise. Bar guaranty is $1,000. Great service, decent prices and great vibe.

yeah i dont mind if its a club or lounge but i do want like our own area, room i dont mind if its a decent size lol i just meant not like a small room the way some clubs and lounges do where you cant fit much people. As long as we have the space then it should be fine ya know, it would be about 50 ppl or more so thats why we need the space for it. Hmmm i think ive been there before, thank you ill check it out now.

you can also check out Madame X in the LES. They have an upstairs room that they have parties in. The place itself has that old boudiour type of feel (dark red colors, old couches, etc). But if that is okay, the best thing is that you can bring in your own food!!! So, you can go to Costco/BJs and stock up on tons of veggie platters/chicken wings and other munchie food. I was thinking about having a very casual e-party here, but opted for a sit-down. Over all though, they seem pretty accommodating. Google them and check them out.

oh didnt know madame x has an upstairs for private party, i will check that out. I actually love that decor so sounds good to me. Dh also loves speakeasies and says he wished he lived in the 20's to experience that i found one place that is called speakeasy and it is this underground room just like they used to be and used for private parties, just gotta call to find out rates and stuff. Sounds cool thank you

that penthouse is known for having parties... and as long as you are not carrying in bags n bags of beer/liquor... they dont care... btw, we had a keg out on the terrace.... the organizers called the hotel and asked if it was ok and they said yes... and they also had food brought in from the outside (3ft heros and such and it was fine)... it was suchhhh a nice space for a party and there had to be about 75 people in there at once... the views were amazing too... full wrap around terrace... we found out about it through one of our friends cousins who's a big promoter for nyc clubs... he hosts parties there all the time

Right now i am strongly leaning towards Madame X, i was just on the phone for the lady for 30 mins, so nice and she kept suggesting the cheapest way for me lol. Its $200 per hour or i can do a bar guarantee for $1400 which is awesome, plus i can hire burlesque dancers, this popular one veronica is only $200, or there is this burlesque group of a few girls which ranges from $175-higher depending on how many of them i use. I am very happy with these prices.

I will check this out though, i want to check out all my options. Plus i want to check the place MAZZ suggested too
