Need help to write a nasty email to a soon to be ex-friend

I emailed my friend christina months ago telling her save the date for the e-party. I then mailed her an invitation. A few days AFTER she got my invitation she sent out a big email to the same friends telling them to save the date she was having a BBQ the same date and time. (Mind you I did not get that email, I heard about her BBQ from another friend)

I then sent her an email as a reminder to please RSVP. I then sent her another email about a week ago and again nothing.

She is very bitter that I didnt ask her to be a BM and that I didnt have her plan my wedding.

So last night I get this email from her

'Hello. I hope everyone's having a really great summer so far. But unfortunately August 9th is a really tough day for a lot of people to make it to the barbeque, so we're just going to postpone it for now. I'll probably have a little welcome back get together once everyone gets back to...'that word'. But in the mean time, I hope everyone is having a safe fun summer and I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again in the fall.

HMMMM Funny I NEVER got invited to her BBQ but she sure got an invite to my party.

So I want to write her an email saying something sarcastic like well i never got an invite and wouldnt have been able to attend anyway because its my engagement party, but also say something like well thats nice of you to plan a BBQ the same day as my party and i guessing you were probably not going to attend my party and now you think you are well forget it, consider your invitation recinded and our friendship over.

I have quite a few harsh words to really tell her but I just cant get my thoughts in order. I am so mad...

I would just tell her that you are very hurt that she is having a party on the same day as yours when you told her well in advance. See what she says.

I would tell he that actions like this is why you did not want her to be invloved in your wedding… That is just plain rudewhat she did…I would be upset with her.. I guess she feels your friendshipgoes as far as a friggin dress…

I guess Brian is right, now is when you find out who your true friends are

Melissa,

You will be finding out who your friends are and aren't the rest of your life, just different circumstances will show it, this friend might have been there for one thing but now for your e party she's not, she apparently isn't a friend, and you just might find out the closer you get to your wedding some others might not be true friends either, but the ones you are sure about, keep them close to your heart.

I hope everything works out, I am not one to give advise b/c when I am mad every other word in that letter would be a curse,

I say you write that email, tell her exactly how you feel, and yes, you have every right to not want her at your party.

Are you 100% SURE she got the invitation to your engagement party??

If you're absolutely sure she got it, and she still planned a BBQ for the same day, I really wouldn't put too much more energy into it. She's obviously NOT a good friend and you're better off without her. It's not worth the aggravation. She sounds very immature and selfish.

thank you for sending me an email confirming that you were planning a bbq on the day of my engagement party. I no longer have anything more that I desire to say to you. Goodbye

yes she definatly got it.

I sent her an email saying

Thank you for inviting me wait sorry I didnt get that invite because you probably know since you were invited August 9th is my engagement party, but since you took it upon yourself to have a BBQ I am taking that as a you will not be attending.

So consider your invite recinded and our friendship over.

I hope you realize how much you hurt me and how your actions broke my heart because I considered you a friend. I guess I was wrong

I am sorry to say it but you are not the person I thought you were.

I hope she realizes she hurt me....
