Need Help w/ Color Scheme!

This is my BM dress, sorry for the link, but I am having trouble saving a pic from the website, it's Dessy Style 2004. This is the color, the skirt is a chamagne satin w/ the black lace over it.

Here's my dilemma. Originally, I was going to have the girls carry all pink bok-s, with varying shades of pink, and the stems wrapped in pink satin and black lace (we were originally going w/ a pink/black dress.) Now, I'm not sure that would look so good w/ this dress. I really like the idea of the girls having a lot of color in their flowers b/c my bo-k will be more creams and blush colors.

I was thinking of just toning down some pink in their flowers and adding more cream and greens, then wrapping the stems in champagne satin and black lace.

Thoughts? Ideas? HELP! I have a while to decide, but I want to get my colors figured out so I can do other stuff like invites, STD's, etc.

Also, the CP's will be more like my boks-cream, blushes, with more greenery. I don't care if the girls match the CP's, I'd rather they didn't. But, I'd like everything to complement each other.

I think that red's will go with this dress - don't go too crazy w/trying to tie in the champagne and black and lace into everything - it will be too overwhelming.

Red roses everywhere, will be very traditional and bring a lot of color against the black - I think pink is too light and doesn't go with lace - if that makes any sense. If you're set on pinks - I'd go with varying shades of reds, and hence, pink is one of them.

What about all whites? I agree, the champagne and black tie in is driving me crazy!

If you're against reds - then I understand your dilema. It's tough to tie in all the elements, it'll drive you up the wall - I'm going through it right now w/my wedding!

anyway, back to you - yes, all whites and cremes are perfect, i didn't know if you were against that. tie the boq's with black lace.

I was against the all white color scheme, but I may have no choice, ugh this is so annoying. Thanks for your input.


Anyone else w/ ideas? My florist is on vacation, when he gets back I am going to schedule an appt with him to talk 'color scheme.'

maybe if you tie in deep pinks?

or maybe black maie roses...they're not the traditional red.

I think light pink is too light, also I think white will be very classic, but the dress is so understated as it is colorwise, that if you put white and cream colors, there's just nothing to POP, you know?

I agree that the pinks will not work. maybe a deep magenta? I think all cream would look awesome even though that isn't what you want sorry!

Thanks all! The pic does not do the dress justice. We saw it on the rack and were like 'eh' then my MOH put it on, and 'WOW.' Very classic, cocktaily, but still formal.

I'm torn between all whites, all dark pinks...I mean, I guess I could change the WHOLE COLOR SCHEME! LOL!

My Mom suggested peaches....that might work.
Oh and the flowers will be peonies, ranunculunus, roses...

I might buy some silk flowers of varying colors next time we go to the salon to look at the dress and compare/contrast.

Ok, well, you all know that I am the color scheme problem queen.

But I hear what you are saying about wanting something to pop. I haven't even picked out the color for the girls' dresses (haven't picked out my dress for that matter) but i wanted something different looking.

If you are really against all the 'red red', I would suggest you do a black baccarra like mine...

You could add in a rose like black baccarra, deep fuschia-ish rose, lighter pink, and do a great green border to block it out from the dress.

I think you should actually just go for brighter pinks!
